If you work on military bases, Army Corps projects, or anything else under a Department of Defence contract, CMMC Level 1 Flows down to you from your Prime. It has since November 2025. It reaches subs at every tier, and there's no partial credit. Every requirement has to be met before the subcontract can be awarded. You can't file a plan to fix the rest later.
Part of it is physical. On your job that means the trailer, the laptop sitting in it. Who has a key to the gate, and whether you can show a record of who came and went. A paper sheet won't hold up. Most IT companies never look past the software.
